The purpose of this study is to comprehensively analyze the global application trend of high tibial osteotomy (HTO) and identify promising research hotspots of HTO based on bibliometrics and visual analysis. ⋯ In terms of the trend of previous years, an increasing number of literatures related to HTO will be published in the future. The USA is a world leader in the field of HTO. South Korea presented great potential in this area. HTO combined with cartilage restoration techniques, postoperative prognosis and outcome, and surgical technique research may be the future hotspots in the field of HTO research.

Staged upper and lower limb lengthening performing bilateral simultaneous surgery of the femur and tibia in achondroplastic patients.
Surgical lengthening and angular correction of the limbs are an option for treating the orthopedic clinical manifestations in patients with achondroplasia. This study assesses a staged limb lengthening protocol, performing simultaneous bilateral lengthening of the femur and tibia (stage I [S1]), and humeral lengthening (stage II [S2]). ⋯ The limb lengthening protocol proposed in this study is a suitable treatment for achondroplasia patients to achieve the agreed-upon objectives (limb-trunk ratio, improved functionality, and lower limb alignment). The reproducibility of the procedure and patient safety were upheld.

(1) To determine the area of posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) insertion sites on the lateral wall of the medial femoral condyle (LWMFC) that demonstrates the least amount of length change through full range of motion (ROM) and (2) to identify a range of flexion that would be favorable for graft tensioning for single-bundle (SB) and double-bundle (DB) PCL reconstruction. ⋯ Surgeons can apply the results of this investigation to surgical planning in PCLR to optimize isometry, which may ultimately reduce graft strain and the risk of graft failure. Additionally, DB PCLR demonstrated superiority compared with SB PCLR regarding graft isometry, as significant laxity was encountered at lower ranges of flexion in SB PCLRs. Fixation of the ALB at 90° flexion should be performed to avoid overconstraint in knee extension.

Clinical outcomes of medial retinaculum plasty versus MPFL reconstruction with concomitant tibial tubercle transfer: a retrospective study.
To elucidate the clinical outcomes of medial retinaculum plasty versus MPFL reconstruction with concomitant tibial tubercle transfer. ⋯ The combined medial retinaculum plasty and tibial tubercle transfer achieved similar clinical outcomes versus the MPFL reconstruction with concomitant TTT. This therapeutic protocol was a good option in treatment of patellar dislocation with increased TT-TG distance or patella alta.

Comparative StudyNo difference in revision rates between anteromedial portal and transtibial drilling of the femoral graft tunnel in primary anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: early results from the New Zealand ACL Registry.
The use of an accessory anteromedial portal to drill the femoral graft tunnel in primary anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction was introduced in the 2000s in an effort to achieve a more anatomic femoral tunnel position. However, some early studies reported an increase in revision ACL reconstruction compared to the traditional transtibial technique. The aim of this study was to analyse recent data recorded by the New Zealand ACL Registry to compare outcomes of ACL reconstruction performed using the anteromedial portal and transtibial techniques. ⋯ III.
