Association between arsenic exposure and inflammatory cytokines and C-reaction protein: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Previous studies have reported controversial results on levels of inflammatory cytokines in patients with arsenic exposure. This study aims to evaluate the associations between arsenic exposure and inflammatory cytokines and C-reaction protein (CRP). ⋯ Many cytokines (such as IL-6, IL-8, and IL-12) have altered in individuals with arsenic exposure, this indicates arsenic exposure could trigger the cell-mediated inflammatory response. Regular examining immune function (such as inflammatory cytokines) in individuals with the risk of arsenic exposure is important to human health.

Meta AnalysisAssociation of apolipoprotein E epsilon 4 and cognitive impairment in adults living with human immunodeficiency virus: a meta-analysis.
It is controversial whether the apolipoprotein E epsilon 4 allele (APOE ε4) is a risk gene for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-related neurocognitive impairment. This meta-analysis aimed to summarize evidence of the associations between APOE ε4 and cognitive impairment in people living with HIV (PLWH). ⋯ PROSPERO, CRD 42021257775.

The heart and neural crest derivatives expressed 2 antisense RNA 1 (HAND2-AS1) is a novel long noncoding RNA aberrantly expressed in human malignancies. We aimed to analyze the available data to evaluate the clinical prognostic significance of HAND2-AS1 in tumors. ⋯ Our results of this meta-analysis indicated that HAND2-AS1 may be a prognostic marker and even a therapeutic target for human cancer.

Association between rs735482 polymorphism and risk of cancer: A meta-analysis of 10 case-control studies.
Several studies have inspected the relationship between rs735482 polymorphism and the risk of some human cancers, but the findings remain controversial. We designed this meta-analysis to validate the association between rs735482 polymorphism and cancer risk. All articles were published before September 1, 2018 and searched in Pubmed, Embase, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, WangFang, and Chinese BioMedical databases, STATA 12.0 software was used for statistical analysis, which provides reasonable data and technical support for this article. ⋯ The results of this meta-analysis do not support the association between rs735482 polymorphism and cancer risk. But stratified analysis showed that rs735482 significantly increased the risk of cancer in Chinese while decreased the risk of cancer in Italian. Because of the limited number of samples, larger and well-designed researches are needed to estimate this association in detail.

Meta AnalysisAccuracy and effectiveness of HPV mRNA testing in cervical cancer screening: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Cervical cancer screening tests that identify DNA of the main causal agent, high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) types, are more protective than cervical cytology. We systematically reviewed the literature to assess whether tests targeting high-risk HPV (hrHPV) mRNA are as accurate and effective as HPV DNA-based screening tests. ⋯ Horizon 2020 Framework Programme for Research and Innovation of the European Commission, through the RISCC Network, WHO, Haute Autorité de la Santé, European Society of Gynaecological Oncology, and the National Institute of Public Health and the Environment.
