Multicenter StudyClinical Characteristics and Outcomes of Children With SARS-CoV-2 Infection During the Delta and Omicron Variant-Dominant Periods in Korea.
Data on the clinical characteristics of pediatric patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) variant infection are limited. We aimed to evaluate the clinical features and outcomes of children with SARS-CoV-2 infection before and after omicron variant dominance in Korea. ⋯ Compared with the delta period, the proportions of young children and patients with complex comorbidities were higher during the omicron period in Korea. Patients with complex chronic diseases, especially neurologic diseases, had a high risk of severe coronavirus disease 2019 in the two distinct variant-dominant periods.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study Comparative StudyMedication and parent training in children with pervasive developmental disorders and serious behavior problems: results from a randomized clinical trial.
Many children with pervasive developmental disorders (PDDs) have serious, functionally impairing behavioral problems. We tested whether combined treatment (COMB) with risperidone and parent training (PT) in behavior management is superior to medication alone (MED) in improving severe behavioral problems in children with PDDs. ⋯ Medication plus PT resulted in greater reduction of serious maladaptive behavior than MED in children with PDDs, with a lower risperidone dose.

Tolterodine and tamsulosin for treatment of men with lower urinary tract symptoms and overactive bladder: a randomized controlled trial.
Men with overactive bladder and other lower urinary tract symptoms may not respond to monotherapy with antimuscarinic agents or alpha-receptor antagonists. ⋯ These results suggest that treatment with tolterodine ER plus tamsulosin for 12 weeks provides benefit for men with moderate to severe lower urinary tract symptoms including overactive bladder. Clinical Trials Registration clinicaltrials.gov Identifier: NCT00147654.

Multicenter StudyHospital readmission in persons with stroke following postacute inpatient rehabilitation.
Readmission is an important quality indicator following acute care hospitalization. We examined factors associated with hospital readmission in persons with stroke following postacute inpatient rehabilitation. ⋯ Functional status, depressive symptoms, and social support were important predictors of hospital readmission. These variables are not included in most administrative data sets. Future research to develop useful risk-adjustment models for rehospitalization following postacute inpatient rehabilitation services should include large diverse samples and explore practical sources for additional meaningful information.

A long-term open-label study of oral almotriptan 12.5 mg for the treatment of acute migraine.
Evaluate the long-term tolerability of almotriptan 12.5 mg for the treatment of acute migraine attacks occurring over a 6-month period. ⋯ When taken at attack onset, almotriptan 12.5 mg is well tolerated, safe, and effective for the long-term treatment of acute migraine.
