Previous studies have reported that microRNA-203 has an effect on the prognosis of with esophageal cancer (EC). However, the conclusion is remains controversial. Therefore, this study will try to explore the effect of high expression of microRNA-203 on the prognosis of EC patients. ⋯ INPLASY2020110022.

In developed nations, ovarian cancer has resulted in the most fatalities from gynecological cancer. Laparoscopy is primarily utilized as the test to diagnose ovarian cancer. Besides being costly, there are surgical risks associated with laparoscopies. At present, clinical practitioners have access to non-invasive tests for diagnosing ovarian cancer. This study aims to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for diagnosing ovarian cancer. ⋯ DOI 10.17605/OSF.IO/A6SPQ (https://osf.io/a6spq).

Meta AnalysisPrevalence of and factors associated with primary medication non-adherence in chronic disease: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Primary medication non-adherence (PMN), defined as failure to obtain newly prescribed medications, results in adverse clinical and economic outcomes. We aimed to (a) assess the prevalence of PMN in six common chronic diseases: asthma and/ or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, depression, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidaemia, hypertension and osteoporosis; (b) identify and categorise factors associated with PMN; (c) explore characteristics that contributed to heterogeneity between studies. ⋯ Primary medication non-adherence is common among patients with chronic diseases and more needs to be done to address this issue in order to improve patient outcomes. Future PMN studies could benefit from greater standardisation to enhance comparability.

Clinical outcomes of atrial fibrillation screening: a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
Several randomized controlled trials (RCTs) have investigated the benefits of atrial fibrillation (AF) screening. However, since none have shown a significant reduction in stroke rates, the impact of screening on clinical outcomes remains uncertain. ⋯ Systematic AF screening is associated with a modest yet statistically significant 7% relative reduction in stroke and systemic embolism, with no observed impact on major bleeding or all-cause mortality.

Sleep features and the risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
This study aimed to assess the associations between multidimensional sleep features and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). ⋯ A U-shaped relationship was observed between sleep duration and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), with the lowest risk occurring at a sleep duration of 7 to 8 h. Additionally, poor sleep quality, evening chronotypes, and daytime napping exceeding 30 min emerged as potential risk factors for T2DM. These high-risk sleep characteristics interacted with one another, amplifying the overall risk of developing the disease.
