Meta AnalysisEffectiveness of conservative non-pharmacological interventions in people with muscular dystrophies: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Management of muscular dystrophies (MD) relies on conservative non-pharmacological treatments, but evidence of their effectiveness is limited and inconclusive. ⋯ Low-quality evidence suggests that strength training, with or without other exercise interventions, may improve perceived exertion, distal upper limb function, static and dynamic balance, gait and well-being in MD. Although more robust and larger studies are needed, current evidence supports the inclusion of strength training in MD treatment, as it was found to be safe.

Meta AnalysisCognitive and executive impairments in Parkinson's disease psychosis: a Bayesian meta-analysis.
Cognitive and executive deficits lead to worsening of quality of life and are a risk factor for developing dementia in people with Parkinson's disease (PD) with psychosis (PDP). However, which key cognitive domains are differentially affected in PDP compared with those without (PDnP), remains unclear. Here, we examined this using a Bayesian meta-analytical approach. ⋯ We report extensive deficits across nine domains as well as subdomains in PD psychosis, with global cognition, processing speed and executive functions as the most likely impaired. The presence of depression may influence task-related performance in PDP, alongside age and PD duration, but not dose of dopamine replacement treatments.

Meta AnalysisPredictors of cognitive deterioration in subjective cognitive decline: evidence from longitudinal studies and implications for SCD-plus criteria.
Subjective cognitive decline (SCD) is an early manifestation of cognitive deterioration (CD) in some individuals. Therefore, it is worthwhile to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to summarise predictors of CD among individuals with SCD. ⋯ CRD42021281757.

Meta AnalysisEndovascular treatment for large-core ischaemic stroke: a meta-analysis of randomised controlled clinical trials.
Current guidelines recommend endovascular treatment (EVT) for acute ischaemic stroke (AIS), due to large-vessel occlusion and an Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score (ASPECTS) of ≥6. High-quality evidence resulting from randomised controlled clinical trials (RCTs) regarding EVT among large-core AIS has recently become available, justifying an updated meta-analysis aiming to evaluate efficacy and safety of EVT in this clinical setting. ⋯ CRD42022334417.
