Pregnancy outcomes of patients undergoing single-layer sutured laparoscopic myomectomy.
In this study, we aimed to investigate the pregnancy outcomes of 102 patients who underwent laparoscopic myomectomy (LM) with single-layer suturing. ⋯ Single-layer closure of the uterine defect in LM is safe for subsequent pregnancies, and the risk of uterine rupture is low.

The inverse association of body adiposity index and bone health in the older adults: A report from a developing country.
The ageing process influences body composition and could be related to bone health. The current study was set out to evaluate the association between body adiposity index (BAI) and bone health in older adults. This is a cross-sectional study performed on 178 elderly persons (51 men and 127 women) with a mean age of 67.04 (range: 60-83) who was referred to the determined 25 health centres in Tehran. ⋯ Moreover, the percentage of body fat was positively associated with serum hs-CRP (β = 0.026, P = .002). Our study showed a significant inverse association between BAI with urinary CTX-I which shows the effect of obesity on bone health. This study suggests that more clinical and prospective studies for monitoring body fat may have some favourable impacts on bone health.

Insufficient evidence for Vitamin D use in COVID-19: A rapid systematic review.
Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to the increased severity of numerous viral infections. ⋯ As a practical implication, the use of vitamin D associated with SC seems to provide some benefit to patients with COVID-19. However, the evidence is currently insufficient to support the routine use of vitamin D for the management of COVID-19, as its effectiveness seems to depend on the dosage, on the baseline vitamin D levels, and on the degree of COVID-19 severity.

Meta AnalysisThe Role of Vitamin D in the Age of COVID-19: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
Evidence recommends that vitamin D might be a crucial supportive agent for the immune system, mainly in cytokine response regulation against COVID-19. Hence, we carried out a systematic review and meta-analysis in order to maximise the use of everything that exists about the role of vitamin D in the COVID-19. ⋯ This study found that most of the COVID-19 patients were suffering from vitamin D deficiency/insufficiency. Also, there is about three times higher chance of getting infected with SARS-CoV-2 among vitamin-D-deficient individuals and about five times higher probability of developing the severe disease in vitamin-D-deficient patients. Vitamin D deficiency showed no significant association with mortality rates in this population.
