Consideration factors with recovering COVID-19 short-term results and false negative Polymerase Chain Reaction test. A Prospective Cohort Study.
To evaluate the clinical factors associated with false-negative RT-PCR results and to report the outcome of a cohort of pregnant women with COVID-19. ⋯ Symptomatic women with a negative RT-PCR should not be dismissed as potential COVID-19 patients, especially in the presence of prolonged symptom onset-test interval and in women without dyspnoea.

Drug utilization study of antidiabetic medication during 2012-2019 in Romania.
To analyse the antidiabetic medication (ADM) market trends in Romania and to describe the utilisation of the new ADMs (glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists [GLP-1 RA], dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors [DPP-4i] and sodium-glucose transport protein 2 inhibitors [SGLT-2i]). ⋯ An overall trend of market increase was found for ADMs from 2012 to 2019, corresponding to the increasing prevalence of diabetes in Romania. Although the use of DPP-4i, GLP-1 RA and SGLT2i have increased steadily, the uptake remained low, with no more than 12.61% of the market share (alone or as fixed combinations with metformin or insulin) in 2019.

Association between α-glucosidase inhibitor use and psoriatic disease risk in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus: A population-based cohort study.
To investigate the association between the use of alpha-glucosidase inhibitors (AGIs) and the risk of psoriatic disease (ie, psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) treated with metformin. ⋯ This population-based study reports that AGI use and interruption of AGI use may be associated with increased psoriatic disease risk in treated patients with T2DM.

Assessment of Serum Vitamin D Levels in the serum of Patients with Postherpetic neuralgia and its correlation to pain severity: A cross-sectional comparative study.
Vitamin D is an essential micronutrient for the maintenance of many functions in the human body. Postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) is caused by the reactivation of the latent varicella-zoster virus (VZV) in the neurons. This study aims to assess the serum vitamin D level in patients with PHN and to correlate the level of vitamin D with pain severity. ⋯ PHN patients had a high prevalence of vitamin D deficiency and those who had vitamin D deficiency were older and had higher degrees of pain for a longer duration. In PHN patients, vitamin D deficiency was moderately associated with increased severity and duration of pain.

Observational StudyDevelopment and validation of a novel prediction model for predicting renal function recovery after diversion in patients with obstructive uropathy.
To develop and validate a novel prediction model predicting renal function recovery following diversion in patients with obstructive uropathy (OU) to the emergency department (ED). ⋯ The POUS model is an accurate and simple-to-use tool for predicting renal function recovery. POUS model requires external validation prior to clinical use in different populations.
