Incidence, Pre-hospital Delay and Prognosis of Acute Myocardial Infarction in big regions of Hungary: Population Data from the Hungarian Myocardial Infarction Registry.
To examine the incidence and treatment of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) as well as 30-day and 1-year prognoses of patients in different regions of Hungary. According to the statistical system of the European Union, Hungary can be divided into three major socio-economic regions-west Hungary, central Hungary and east Hungary. ⋯ The major regions of Hungary revealed significant differences regarding the incidence, prehospital delay, treatment and mortality of AMI. Logistic regression analysis confirmed the independent prognostic significance of the region on the 30-day mortality of patients with STEMI (hazard ratio = 0.88, P = .0114; CI: 0.80-0.97).

The Frequency of Emergence Delirium in Children Undergoing Outpatient Anaesthesia for Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect on the occurrence of emergence delirium of propofol and ketofol with intranasal dexmedetomidine and midazolam applied as premedication to paediatric patients during magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). ⋯ Delirium was seen at a very low rate only in the Group MP and it is difficult to say the best combination in terms of delirium frequency. However, intranasal dexmedetomidine and IV ketofol seem to be better and safer than the other groups in terms of the need for additional doses and the number of side effects. The addition of ketamine to propofol reduces the need for additional doses with a synergistic effect.

Compliance to not only prone but also lateral and supine positioning improves outcome in hospitalised COVID-19 patients.
Positioning of the patient is a common strategy to increase oxygenation in the management of acute respiratory distress syndrome. The aim of this study is to demonstrate the effects of our positioning approach on disease outcomes in COVID-19 patients with respiratory failure, by comparing patients compliant to positioning and not. ⋯ Prone or other positioning should be considered in patients with noninvasive oxygen support for the potential to reduce rates of intensive care unit admissions, airway interventions, anti-inflammatory treatment initiation and mortality.

Potentially inappropriate medications in older adults according to Beers criteria 2019: prevalence and risk factors.
Older patients are more prone to receive potentially inappropriate medications (PIMs) that are better to be avoided or dose adjusted to protect them from their unnecessary or harmful use. This study aims to detect the prevalence of PIMs among older patients discharged from Tawam hospital according to Beers criteria 2019. Moreover, the common risk factors of the older patients may subject them to PIMs use. ⋯ Based on the prevalence of PIMs among older patients, it is recommended to revise each patient's medications prescription to avoid inappropriate prescribing and hence decrease the prevalence of PIMs.

Antibiotic Prescribing Patterns for Childhood infections in Ambulatory Settings in Jordan.
Antibiotics' rational prescribing is a major goal of the World Health Organization's (WHO) global action plan to tackle antimicrobial resistance. Evaluation of antibiotic prescribing patterns is necessary to guide simple, globally applicable stewardship interventions. The impact of antimicrobial resistance is devastating, especially in low-income countries. We aimed to introduce ambulatory data on patterns of paediatric antibiotic prescribing in Jordan, which could be used to guide local stewardship interventions. ⋯ This is the first study of antibiotic prescribing patterns among outpatient paediatrics that covers wide regions in Jordan. Results indicate high rates of antibiotics use among outpatient paediatrics. Such findings necessitate more focussed efforts and regulations that support rational utilisation of drugs.
