Retrospective Analysis of 195 Surgically-treated Cases of Chronic Subdural Hematoma.
The incidence of chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) is increasing. This study evaluates the etiologic causes and findings of CSDH and compared unilateral CSDH with bilateral CSDH. This study aims to draw attention to this increasingly prevalent condition. ⋯ CSDH is seen more patients of advanced age, those who use anticoagulants, patients with hypertension and diabetes and in patients with a history of head trauma. Prognosis is worse in bilateral CSDH. We estimate that the incidence of CSDH will go up in the future.

The influence of sex on ischemic stroke incidence, therapeutic procedures and in-hospital mortality: Results of the Spanish National Hospital Discharge.
Previous research has revealed sex-related differences in outcomes for people admitted to hospitals for ischemic stroke. We aimed to analyse the incidence, use of invasive procedures and in-hospital outcomes of ischemic stroke in Spain (2016-2018) using the Spanish National Hospital Discharge Database. We sought sex-related differences in incidence and in-hospital outcomes over time. ⋯ Men had higher incidence rates of ischemic stroke than women. Women more often underwent thrombolytic therapy and endovascular thrombectomy but had a higher IHM.

Community Pharmacy Cognitive Services During the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Descriptive Study of Practices, Precautions Taken, Perceived Enablers and Barriers, and Burnout.
The objectives of this study were to identify community pharmacist (CP)-led cognitive services and CPs' precautions taken related to COVID-19, perceived enablers and barriers related to pharmaceutical services and burnout levels during the COVID-19 pandemic. ⋯ To increase the preparedness of pharmacists for future pandemics or disasters, this study highlighted CP-led cognitive services, precautions taken related to COVID-19, perceived enablers and barriers and burnout during the COVID-19 pandemic. Pharmaceutical services guidelines that could be followed during a pandemic or other disaster should be designed by addressing these findings.

The Impact of the First Wave of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Parents of Children with Externalising Difficulties in Ireland: A Longitudinal Cohort Study.
This longitudinal cohort study aimed to examine the impact of the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ireland on parents of children with externalising difficulties, in comparison to parents of children without such difficulties. ⋯ Results provide important information regarding the trajectory of psychological outcomes in parents of children with externalising difficulties over the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting the need for increased parental supports during, and after, the COVID-19 pandemic.

Observational StudyExternal validation and Comparison of two versions of simplified sequential organ failure assessment scores to predict prognosis of septic patients.
Evidence shows that simplified SOFA scoring system has better clinical practice. ⋯ sa-SOFA appeared to have performed better than eSOFA score for predicting in-hospital mortality in patients' sepsis. Further large prospective studies are needed to externally validate.
